Welcome to our website. Our team uses multi-omics approaches, bioinformatics, forward and reverse genetics, functional genomics, phenomics and gene editing to understand the genetic control of important agronomic traits in wheat and its wild relatives. We use diversity panels, and segregating mapping and breeding populations to identify genes and pathways affecting disease resistance, drought and heat tolerance, yield components and development. The acquired information is used to establish system-level relationship between genotypes and phenotypes to develop tools and resources for improving wheat utilizing marker assisted selection, genomic prediction and gene editing.
